ARL Power is the owner and operator of the Melawa IPP Power Plant in Jalan Teluk Sepangar, Melawa, Kota KInabalu, Sabah.

We have a full team of mechanical, electrical and operations engineers, technicians and general staff operating and maintaining 4 x 12.5 MW diesel powered engines, currently running on medium fuel oil.

Job descriptions:
- Shall be overall responsible for the efficient and effective operations, maintenance and administration of ARL Power’s 50MW Diesel Power Plant (IPP) at Melawa, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, and all contractual matters and procedures related to ARL Power’s relationships with its customer(s), suppliers and vendors. He shall demonstrate the necessary technical, conceptual and human skills necessary to act as a point of reference for all Plant level decision making.
- He shall display strong leadership qualities and shall organize, plan, control, supervise, motivate, guide, monitor, assess and correct, where necessary, his subordinates in the performance of their respective work responsibilities.
- He shall regularly consult with external advisors from engine manufacturers (if any) or other points of reference with a view to acquiring and further sharpening his management knowledge and skills.
- He shall provide both regular and deviation reports to the Chief Operating Officer on the performance of the Power Plant.

Job requirements:
- Minimum a degree in any related technical discipline, and additional competency certificates would be of advantage. If you have more than 10 years of working experience you would have the skills and wisdom that comes with age, that would be very useful for us.
