timber concession areas in Sabah, Malaysia.

JAVA also possesses a comprehensive range of manufacturing
facilities for the processing of logs into various finished
and semi finished timber products of high quality.

*Electrical Engineer*
(Keningau, Sabah)

Job descriptions:
Electrical engineers design, develop and maintain electrical systems and/or components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability.
They design and manufacture electrical equipment for use across many sectors, such as:
• the building industry;
• transportation;
• manufacturing;
• and production and distribution of electricity.

Electrical engineers are involved in projects from the concept and detail of the design through to implementation, testing and handover. They may also be involved in maintenance programmes.
As well as technical knowledge, electrical engineers need to project manage and multitask. They also need to have commercial awareness. Additional attributes, such as team leadership or management skills, are required as careers progress
• Identifying customer requirements;
• Designing systems and products;
• Reading design specifications and technical drawings;
• Researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and timescales;
• Making models and prototypes of products;
• Working to British (BS), European (EN) and other standards;
• Liaising with others in the design team;
• Liaising with clients and contractors;
• Attending meetings on site;
• Designing and conducting tests;
• Recording, analyzing and interpreting test data;
• Proposing modifications and retesting products;
• Qualifying the final product or system;
• Servicing and maintaining equipment;
• Preparing product documentation, writing reports and giving presentations;
• Monitoring a product in use to improve on future design.

Job requirements:
• A professional technical background within electrical engineering.
• Proven experience within relevant areas.
• Knowledge of the wood industry.
• Project management experience.
• Independence, effectiveness and hands-on understanding.
• Ability and desire to find technically and financially optimal solutions.
• Good communication skills in English, both verbally and written
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Degree
In Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience & knowledge in Building services design and M & E Quantities measurement an
added advantage.
• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
• Able to work independently & computer literate.
• Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia.
• Applicant must be willing to work outside if required.
