JAVA has an exclusive rights to harvest logs from 31,000ha of timber concession areas in Sabah, Malaysia.

JAVA also possesses a comprehensive range of manufacturing facilities for the processing of logs into various finished and semi finished timber products of high quality.

*Safety & Health Officer*
(Keningau, Sabah)

Job descriptions:
-Develop, coordinate and supervise the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive
-District-wide occupational health and safety program designed to prevent injury, occupational
illness and damage to property
-Formulate and implement safety programs that promote occupational safety and health protection
-Risk management and ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements
-Conducts in house safety training and provide guidance.
-Respond to and investigate accidents, enquiries and service requests/complaints from businesses, members of the public and other relevant authorities taking, where necessary, enforcement action under the direction of the Principal Health and Safety Officer
-Conduct Fire drills, safety inspections and improvement studies on safety management
-Ensure that occupational safety and health policies are observed and planned activities carried out
-Facility management and supervision of contracted services

Job requirements:
-Must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor in Engineering (Environment / Health / Safety) or equivalent
-Minimum of two years' experience in the occupational safety and health field
-Ability to work effectively with a team and independently with minimum supervision and to communicate effectively, orally and in writing required. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
-Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, as is knowledge of basic Microsoft Office
-Must possess a Safety & Health Officer Cert from NIOSH and must be registered (competent status) with DOSH
-Well versed with Occupational Health & Safety Act
-Fresh graduate are encourage to apply
